1. What is the purpose of the Capital City Camera Club (CCCC)? |

The Club is focused on educating its members in photographic skills and on creating opportunities to exercise those skills. We host about ten speakers per year, selected from amongst professional photographers or our most expert members. We conduct workshops and field shooting programs, and create volunteer photography projects to benefit local or North Carolina non-profit organizations. |

2. What is the skill level of the members? |
|
The Club is an organization of amateur and pro-amateur photographers with various skill levels and interest. Some members exhibit and sell their work, some do commissioned work, while others are passionate about improving their family, event, or vacation photography. |

3. How many members are in the CCCC? |
|
The CCCC has about 75 members, most of whom live in Wake County, North Carolina. About 35-40 members attend a typical meeting. |

4. What are the Club finances? |
|
The CCCC is a non-profit organization and simply tries to achieve income adequate to pay expenses. For 2012, annual dues are $40 per person or $60 per couple. The dues pay for rental of our meeting space at Raulston Arboretum, honoraria for our speakers, and other expenses. Dues are pro-rated for the portion of the year that remains upon joining. |

5. What is the meeting format? |
|
For 2012, we begin with a “social hour” at 6:30pm. We start our formal meeting at 7pm with announcements, then move to the speaker or program, concluding at about 8:45pm. Members are welcome to socialize after the meeting until 9:30pm. |

6. Where does the Club usually meet? |
|
Our regular meeting site is the J.C. Raulston Arboretum at 4415 Beryl Road in Raleigh, NC. |

7. How can I get acquainted before joining? |
|
We welcome guests to attend two meetings before we ask them to join by paying dues. Study the many pages of the Club’s web site at www.capcitycameraclub.com to see the list of activities, the Photo-of-the-Month contest, winning photos from our competitions, and other information. |

8. Why was I denied membership to the Yahoo Group? |
|
The Yahoo Group (named capcitycc) is open to members of the club only. After you join, the Social Chairman or President will send an email invitation to which you may respond in order to join the capcitycc group on Yahoo. |
